Application Support Analyst

We are working exclusively with our national manufacturing client. In this exciting role, you will be part of our client’s in-house technology team to cover the day-to-day application support and improvement needs of several core systems across businesses within their group.

This is a varied hands-on role where you will be involved in daily operational support of the group’s core ERP systems and surrounding applications, as well as playing a key role in transformational projects as we strive to constantly improve and modernise our core systems. You will be part of a small team responsible for the day-to-day operations of our business’ ERP systems and associated wrap around services at various sites around the UK. You will ensure that issues and requests are prioritised and resolved in a timely manner, and will be analysing, scoping and supporting the delivery of systems improvement ideas and requests to continuously improve.

Key responsibilities…

· Working as part of a small team to provide day to day user and process issue support across several ERP systems and applications, to a diverse group of users across multiple sites within the UK.

· Ensuring that issues are logged via several channels correctly, triaged and responded to within internal SLA’s.

· Monitoring applications and systems while identifying performance trends and taking action when required to stop issues arising.

· Liaising with suppliers and third parties for a range of applications and core systems.

· Performing day to day system administration tasks across several ERP systems.

· Understanding master data used within ERP systems and maintaining data integrity.

· Understanding, analysing and prioritising system or process improvement requirements and translating these to improve our ERP systems and applications.

· Working as part of a project team to consolidate our ERP systems into a common cloud based solution (Dynamics Finance and Operations ERP)

Skills and experience…

· Previous experience within a technical role as as well as providing end user support.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Good understanding of business processes.

· Previous experience working with ERP systems or similar business systems within manufacturing or supply chain / logistics / warehousing environments.

· Desirable to have a full UK driving licence.

· Desirable to have experience in FMCG or food manufacturing.

You will need to be a keen learner and want to develop your career in ERP, application support, systems admin and business process improvement. You will thrive on working in a fast-paced environment where you may need to react to changing requirements quickly. You will be happy to flex between working autonomously and working as part of a broader team, depending on the workload at any point in time.

A blend of strong communication skills and good technical expertise is required for this role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with proven previous experience in an application and systems admin or support role, who has excellent customer service skills and a genuine interest in technology. Ideally you will be based locally at one of our client’s business sites around the country, However, our client is open to all applications and will look at the role being either office based, home based or hybrid for the right candidate.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
