Announcing Headline Partnership with ‘Chance to Dance’

Following the recent launch of brand new East Yorkshire youth dance challenge ‘Chance to Dance’ we are proud to confirm that we are Headline Partner for the spring 2020 competition.

Chance to Dance allows students who attend East Yorkshire schools and youth groups the exciting opportunity to showcase their creativity through dance. This new performance challenge scheduled for Spring 2020, is brought to the region by local businesses Drunk Animal Creative Studio and National Events Support. We are excited to work alongside them as headline partner to celebrate student participation in the performing arts.

‘I believe the competition is a great fit for GB Recruitment as it helps young people to develop key skills such as creativity, teamwork, confidence and self-expression. These are all important traits that often help to give a candidate the edge when interviewed.’

Antonio Tombanane – Managing Director GB IT Recruitment

The event has been designed through consultation with schools in the region, in the absence of the recently dissolved and much-loved Rock Challenge. Children and young people will showcase their skills such as choreography, set building and costume design in a new two-day showcase, creating performances around their chosen theme. Performances will be judged by theatre and dance professionals from the region, and the top three schools of each division will be awarded prizes to improve performance arts access in their school community.

‘We wanted to give a platform where children of all ages could still showcase their talents and creativity. The experience will educate and reinforce positive messages to students in a friendly and competitive environment.’

Jessica Thorp, Office Manager at Drunk Animal Creative Studio

The competition requires additional support from local businesses who are passionate about providing this unique educational experience for young people. Donations of all sizes are welcome. Sponsorship will contribute towards the costs of putting on the show, including an allocation which will be divided equally amongst youth groups to cover their costs of production. The more raised, the more each group will receive to fulfil their production’s ambitions. Recommended minimum sponsorship is £1000, however, all donations large and small are appreciated. Sponsors will be featured on the website and across print.

Local businesses looking to sponsor Chance to Dance and the participating youth groups can do so by visiting ChanceToDanceHull.co.uk. Schools and youth groups should register their interest in performing via the website by 20th December 2019.  Chance to Dance is scheduled to take place in June 2020. Keep updated on the Chance To Dance Hull Facebook page.
