Last week we saw the digital community come together like never before. From the C4DI showcasing the talent of its members to keynote speaker Sean Royce explaining why full fibre broadband is giving Hull business the edge. The first annual Tech Expo Humber helped highlight how Hull and the Humber is growing as a major tech hub in the UK.
Launching with the Bondholder Breakfast and rounding off with a final performance from the dynamic Titan The Robot, the Tech Expo Humber, provided a two day showcase of the best of what the region has to offer.
VP of Twitter and award-winning author Bruce Daisley took to the stage to inspire us to unlock a positive workplace culture. The headline act of an impressive line-up that also included VP of IBM Meredith Stowell, O2s Head of Digital solutions Ant Morse and a host of leading Tech Entrepreneurs from our region.
The event delivered on being more than just a B2B event, with students from local schools attending in a bid to inspire the next generation of tech talent.
“The first annual Tech Expo was a real showcase of what the tech community can achieve when they work together, and it was great to see our younger generation so inspired and engaged.”Managing Director of GB IT Recruitment & Founder of the Tech Expo Humber Antonio Tombanane
Finally it wouldn’t be a round up without mentioning the creativity the fantastic exhibitors had to offer. Whether you were playing connect four with a robot curtesy of the University of Hull or exploring how VR could revolutionise the construction industry with the Sewell group, you couldn’t help but walk away inspired.
A huge thank you goes out to the event partners, speakers and exhibitors without which this event would not have been possible.
Here’s to bigger and better in 2020!
